1st time campers

So you have never gone camping outside before.  I can give you a first hand account from last year.  I had never…yes never…gone camping before.  So call me the ultimate novice.   After that weekend, I was hooked on camping.  It was a fun program put on by the Camp.  The kids had a good time.  And…really…I had a blast as well!

Now you don’t need your own tent, they have 2 person tents for you to sleep in.  However, if you have on, you can bring it.  You just need a sleeping bed, mosquito net is recommended, marshmallows/smores, clothes, swimming trunks (pool time), ball/glove, and other fun camping stuff.   And yes they have showers, so you can clean up when you need to.

The food was good.  The entertainment was fun.  There are fun games.  The kids learn a lot.  I never knew my son was a secret Robin Hood with his newly discovered archery skills!

It was the main reason why I wanted to be your camp coordinator now.  It was one of the best weekends I had with my son.

So…if that isn’t a testimonial…I don’t know what is…

We are having a great turn out for Polar Cubs (36 scouts).  It would be fun to have a similar group at Camp Akela.  Please let me know if you are coming!

Each person attending will receive a ticket to the game and a Minnesota Wild jersey patch. Plus all scouts and their siblings are invited to meet at section 124 after the game and come down to ice level to take a shot on the ice of Xcel Energy Center.
